Relatively good? or Absolutely good?
If you mean relatively good, then no matter how evil any person is, we can always find someone who is worse.
But who sets the standard?
“Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness” Prov. 20:6
Jesus once said “There is none good but one, that is God” Mark 10:18
Paul wrote “there is none that doeth good, no not one” Romans 3:12
If we will hear God’s thoughts about the matter, it is written as follows:
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” James 2:10
Can you say that you have never broken one law during your life?
One of the prophets wrote these words “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Isaiah 64:6
And so the conclusion from God’s point of view is settled:
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
Now here is the great thing:
God tells us the truth about our condition so that we might come to Him for His gift! What Gift? The gift of forgiveness and Life
